Many of those who made this design have concluded that adding length to the sleeves is optional, and yes they do indeed look great just left the way they are at this point.
But if you want to make yours the same as the one pictured in the magazine or in my Ravelry shop you will need to add a few rows to the sleeves.
You can see at the very bottom of the photo is the body section: the last round in pink was the last set of pineapple "leaves;
then the next round is that "transition round" where we did the markers and the split for the sleeves and all that jazz that I talked about in the post here;
and then after that is the next set of pineapple "bases".
Well, the same thing happens on the sleeves too!
You just join your yarn back at the underarm and continue working in the same established pattern.
Since the last round before the Split for Sleeves was Round 19, the first round of the sleeves is almost the same as Round 20, only of course working on the sleeve section not the body.
Then the sleeves get a round of pineapple bases, then finished off with the Last Round of chain loops just like the bottom of the body.
OR you could continue working the pineapples off just like before to make the sleeves even longer, like Michele did in her glorious version here.
And was also published in the Happily Hooked Magazine May 2018 issue which is also available on Ravelry!
- # 10 - go back and add to those sleeves if desired
